Toussaint Louverture: The First Black Memorialist of French Literature

The Transition to Electric Cars

WHAT: Western Michigan University physicist Paul V. Pancella will share his personal experience of converting a conventional gasoline-powered car - a 1992 Honda Civic CX - to pure electric power in 2008. Pancella will discuss the physics behind the belief that in the near future, more and more electricity will be used to power transportation, significantly reducing the amount of petroleum-derived fuels burned in internal combustion engines.
