IU Diversity Committees to meet in September

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University Diversity Committees are scheduled to meet on three campuses in September.
The Diversity Management Committee at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis is scheduled to meet Wednesday (Sept. 9) at 3 p.m. in Room 103 of the Administration Building on the Indianapolis campus. The IUPUI Diversity Cabinet will meet on Sept. 22 at 8:30 a.m., also in Room 103 of the Administration Building.
At IU Southeast, the Campus Diversity Committee will meet Thursday (Sept. 10) at 11a.m. in Room 154 of University Center South on the New Albany campus.
At IU Northwest, DARC -- Diversity Annual Report Committee -- will meet Sept. 17 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 115 of the Library Conference Center.
The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
