A group of students from the Indiana University School of Music will kick off the 2005 Conservatory Project this week at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The Conservatory Project, which began last year, is a concert series designed to showcase outstanding students from America's top music programs.

The Indiana University Opera Theater will stage the first collegiate production of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer William Bolcom's A View from the Bridge, a full-scale opera adapted from the Arthur Miller tragedy. Performances are scheduled for Feb. 4-5 and 11-12 at the Musical Arts Center. Bolcom will give a pre-concert informance one hour before each of the first two performances.
