IU's McRobbie receives prestigious Australian award for service
The government of Australia announced today (June 14) that Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie, a native of that country, has been appointed as an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia, a national award signifying "distinguished service of a high degree to Australia or to humanity at large." Men's and Women's Track: Derek Drouin cemented himself into IU lore with his second NCAA title in the 2010 calendar year. Molly Beckwith joined Drouin in the limelight, taking second in the 800 meters. Faith Sherrill also claimed All-America honors with a sixth-place finish in the shot put. Read the meet notes.

Results for Saturday, June 12:
Men's and Women's Track: In the men's 5,000m, Ben Hubers finished in 14:01.40 for 12th place and Andrew Poore was right behind, taking 13th in 14:05.06. Poore was the 10th American-born finisher, putting him just out of the All-America category. The IU women scored 16 points in the meet for 16th place and the Hoosier men finished the meet with 13.5 points for 20th place. Read the meet notes.
