CAN I GET A WHIT-NESS?

Senior Whitney Lindsay has been an offensive force for the Hoosiers as of late. In IU's last two games, Lindsay has netted 38 points (19.0 ppg) while shooting 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the floor and 63.6 percent (7-of-11) from 3-point range. Lindsay scored a career-high 20 points at Ohio State on Jan. 5, hitting a career-best eight field goals on 13 attempts and making 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. She followed that performance up by netting 18 points against Purdue on Jan. 9 on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor, and nailing four from long range, the most in her career.

The Mansfield, Ohio, native has scored in double-figures in four of the last five games, averaging 14.8 ppg and shooting 51.9 percent (28-of-54) from the floor in those contests. During that span, Lindsay was vital in closing Indiana's two Big Ten wins, starting with the winning layup with three seconds remaining against Northwestern on Dec. 30, then scoring the final three points to seal the win against Minnesota on Jan. 5.

Lindsay has boosted her scoring average to 10.5 ppg while also dishing for 4.3 assists and grabbing 2.5 steals per game on the season. Each of those marks easily eclipses career-high averages from her first three years at IU. Coming into this season, Lindsay's career-highs were 7.4 points, 3.1 assists and 1.4 steals per contest, which she achieved last year as a junior.
