Hoosiers fall in Big Ten Semi's to Minnesota, 4-0

MADISON, Wis. -- The Indiana men's tennis team fell to Minnesota, 4-0, in the semi finals of 2011 Big Ten Championship on Saturday, April 30.

Minnesota took the doubles point as Rok Bonin and Julian Dehn defeated IU's Josh MacTaggart and Stephen Vogl, 8-6, in No. 2 doubles, and Tobias Wernet and Juan Pablo Ramirez defeated Isade Juneau and Will Kendall, 8-6, in No. 3 doubles. Indiana's Jeremy Langer and Santiago Gruter were up on Phillip Arndt and Sebastian Gallego, 8-7, in No. 1 doubles, when the match was abandoned because the doubles point was decided..

First to finish in singles action was Minnesota's Brendan Ruddock defeating IU's Stephen Vogl, 6-3 and 6-4, in No. 5 singles. Tobias Wernet defeated IU's Jeremy Langer, 7-6 and 6-1, in No. 1 singles, and Julian Dehn defeated Indiana's Dimitrije Tasic, 6-2 and 6-4, in No. 6 singles.

Gruter and MacTaggart were both up a set when their matches were abandoned at number two and three singles respectively.
