Crimson and Gold Cup -- With just women's and men's basketball left in winter sports and spring sports an open score book, is IU or Purdue leading in the 2011-12 Smithville Crimson and Gold Cup Race? Each sport for IU or Purdue can earn one point toward winning the overall rivalry between the Hoosiers and Boilermakers. The winner of regular-season head-to-head competition earns the point for its institution, and a total of 19 points can be earned. Should the teams split or tie in regular-season competition, the point is split between the two institutions. Indiana won the competition during the 2010-11 season, 11-9, to retain the trophy and to improve to 4-1-2 over the past seven years.
