Jacobs School of Music alumni featured in ‘Opera News’ magazine

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Three Indiana University Jacobs School of Music alumni are featured in the August 2012 cover story of Opera News, "Opera's Next Wave: the Voices and Faces of the Future."
According to the prestigious magazine's website, "Opera News's editors have chosen 25 names … we believe are poised to break out and become major forces in the field in the coming decade."
Graduates Kate Lindsey, mezzo-soprano, and Ailyn Pérez, soprano, are both featured in the cover photo, as well as profiled inside the latest issue.
Conductor Evan Rogister, also garnering a profile, began his classical training at Jacobs--first as a trombonist, then as a baritone--before pursuing conducting at Juilliard.
