SoFA Gallery to present MFA, BFA student projects

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Between Jan. 12-Feb. 6, the School of Fine Arts (SoFA) Gallery at Indiana University will present artworks created by fine arts students in the IU MFA and BFA programs in painting, metals, graphic design, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, photography, digital Art (DART) and printmaking. Students help plan the exhibits and install their own artworks.
Jan. 12-23
Master of fine arts students in the painting program will present observational paintings, landscapes, figurative paintings and works in new, experimental mediums. Bachelor of fine arts and master of fine arts students in graphic design, ceramics, textiles and metals will present artwork including ceramics, various multimedia, posters, product designs, books, jewelry, hollow ware, small metals objects and works using non-traditional styles and techniques, as well as various handcrafted textiles. Opening reception: Friday, January 15, from 7-9 p.m.
Jan. 26-Feb. 6
Bachelor of fine arts and master of fine arts students in the sculpture, photography, printmaking and digital art (DART) programs will present artworks using non-traditional styles and techniques, new media, Internet, video, flash-based animation and contemporary photographs. Opening reception: Friday, Jan. 29, from 7-9 p.m.
