Activities include the Alumni Leaders Conference, reunion activities for the classes of 1951, 1956 and 1961, and a banquet celebrating IU students and alumni volunteers.

The public is invited to the Alumni Weekend Barbecue from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday (June 18) in the Frangipani Room of the Indiana Memorial Union, 900 E. Seventh St.

Also open to the public is a forum for candidates vying for one of the alumni-elected seats on the IU Board of Trustees. The forum happens at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in the Whittenberger Auditorium of the IMU. For more information about the trustee election, visit www.alumni.indiana.edu/about/election.

The Alumni Leaders Conference will bring together members of the IUAA's Executive Council -- the organization's advisory body -- and leaders of alumni chapters, constituent societies and affiliate groups. Attendees spend the weekend learning, sharing ideas and advancing IU and the IU Alumni Association. ESPN broadcaster and IU alumna Sage Steele will address the Alumni Leaders Conference during the weekend.

Of the approximately 250 alumni leaders attending the conference, nearly all serve IU and the IUAA on a volunteer basis.

The banquet on Friday evening (June 17) will recognize a number of outstanding IU students, as well as several exemplary alumni programs and services directed by volunteer-led alumni groups. The IUAA has more than 150 alumni organizations representing different regions of the world and various schools and departments. These organizations engage in a variety of activities, ranging from student recruitment to social events and networking activities to community service.

The reunion activities recognize those IU classes celebrating their 50th, 55th and 60th reunions. The alumni on hand will hear special presentations from current and former IU administrators, enjoy a campus bus tour and will reconnect with classmates at breakfasts and luncheons.
