Universities given positive plugs.

Once, not too many years ago and to the embarrassment of school officials, Indiana University at Bloomington was identified as the nation's top party school.
Now, reports , it has been named America's "hottest big state school" by Newsweek. That means that IU's emphasis on information-age technology is proving a strong lure to out-of-state students.
Newsweek says IU is one of a dozen institutions "creating buzz among students, school officials and longtime observers of the admissions process."
It's no secret that IU has attempted to anticipate the future by giving priority to information technology programs. Cheers to IU for doing it right.
Give cheers, as well, to the University of Evansville, which made the list for top regional colleges in the Midwest. UE has been on U.S. News & World Report's annual "America's Best Colleges" guide for years. This year, it was ranked third as a best value in the Midwest based on available financial aid. And it tied for 10th in the "best university" ranking.
