BioCrossroads and Indiana University host forum for entrepreneurs, investors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Some of Indiana's best life sciences ideas will be auditioned before a national group of venture capitalists on Wednesday (Sept. 7) in an effort to attract support for the Bloomington area's most promising projects and initiatives. The event, called the Indiana Future Fund Entrepreneurial Forum, will be hosted by BioCrossroads, Indiana University Bloomington and the IU Foundation.
Representatives of the $53 million Indiana METACyt Initiative, the School of Informatics, Pervasive Technology Labs, the IU Cyclotron Facility, the Midwest Proton Radiotherapy Institute, Predictive Physiology and Medicine Inc., and Cook Pharmica Inc. will describe their latest work to potential investors.
Two more entrepreneurial forums will be organized in 2005 by BioCrossroads and the Indiana Future Fund's professional management firm, Credit Suisse First Boston.
