IU research center to reveal 2005 education data at Indiana State Board of Education meeting

Editors: At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jonathan Plucker and Terry Spradlin, director and associate director of Indiana University's Center for Evaluation and Education Policy, and members of the state Board of Education will be available for questions at the Indiana Department of Education.

Researchers with Indiana University's Center for Evaluation and Education Policy will present new data tomorrow that suggest Hoosiers' opinions about key education issues have shifted. A broad range of education issues will be discussed, including funding issues, school construction, all-day kindergarten, ISTEP testing, charter schools and school choice.

WHAT: New data on what Hoosiers think about Indiana education. The CEEP report is titled, "2005 Public Opinion Survey on Education in Indiana." It will be presented to members of the Indiana State Board of Education.
