Grew to join Indiana University

John R. Grew, who has served as Gov. Frank O'Bannon's executive assistant for fiscal policy since 1999, has accepted a position as director of financial research and analysis at Indiana University.

Grew will report to Judith Palmer, IU's vice president and chief financial officer. "We are pleased to have John join us. He will be a valuable member of our financial team, given his in-depth knowledge and experience in state fiscal policy, especially as it pertains to higher education," Palmer said.

In the governor's office, Grew was responsible for higher education policy issues and was extensively involved in budgetary and tax-related policy development. Prior to working for the governor, Grew was the senior fiscal analyst in the Indiana House of Representatives for nearly nine years.

Grew is a 1976 graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, earning a bachelor's degree in public affairs from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
