IU Southeast MBA program nationally ranked
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nov. 2, 2007
NEW ALBANY, IN -- The IU Southeast School of Business has been ranked in the top 30 part-time MBA programs in the country by BusinessWeek magazine.
The MBA program at IU Southeast comes in at No. 18 in the nation, and No. 3 in the Midwest region. A full list of top-ranking schools can be found online at www.businessweek.com.
BusinessWeek has ranked executive MBA and executive education programs since the 1990s, but launched the new part-time rankings this year.
IU Southeast was rated sixth in the nation for student satisfaction, named a school "Best for Career Switchers," and received A rankings for teaching quality and for curriculum.
BusinessWeek's rankings are based on three measures: a student survey; the academic quality score, which consists of six equally weighted measures including average GMAT score, average work experience, the percentage of all teachers in the part-time MBA program who are tenured faculty, average class size in core business classes, the number of business electives available to part-time MBA students, and the program's completion rate; and post-MBA outcomes, which is based on the percentage of survey respondents who say their program was "completely" responsible for them achieving their goals.
The BusinessWeek ranking is just one of the accolades recently received by the IU Southeast School of Business. In October, the school was ranked one of the Top 290 Business Schools in the country according to the Princeton Review.
