FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 8, 2008

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Attendance for Indiana University's Mini University 2008 is filling at a faster rate than Mini 2007, which sold out in June last year. Those wishing to attend the popular week-long program should register at www.alumni.indiana.edu/miniu or call the Indiana University Alumni Association at 800-824-3044 or 812-855-6120.

Mini University, an award-winning program co-sponsored by IU Bloomington Continuing Studies and the IU Alumni Association, started in 1972. It features close to 100 short courses taught by IU faculty, offered mainly in the Indiana Memorial Union, which is also where the majority of participants stay. Topic areas include business and technology, domestic issues, fine arts, health, fitness and leisure, human growth and development, humanities, international issues and science. In addition, there are evening activities, including a picnic, a trip to the Brown County Playhouse and a reception at the university president's residence.

IU Bloomington Continuing Studies provides opportunities for adults to engage in lifelong learning. Programs include General Studies degrees, Adult Student Resources, Lifelong Learning and Professional Development courses, Mini University and Leadership Bloomington-Monroe County. All programs draw upon the rich resources of IU Bloomington and are offered on campus and at convenient community locations in Bloomington and the surrounding area.

The IU Alumni Association is dedicated to serving the university and its diverse alumni, students and friends. As one of the nation's largest alumni organizations, serving nearly 490,000 graduates worldwide, the IUAA provides many programs and services to its members, non-member alumni and the university.
