Online polls now open for IU Trustee election

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Online ballots to elect an alumni representive to the 2008 Indiana University Board of Trustees are now available at https://election.alumni.iu.edu.
This is the first year that alumni may cast a vote online. Alumni also still may vote as they have in the past with mail-in paper ballots that they will receive in the U.S. mail. Those ballots will be mailed to current graduates of IU in mid-May and to new graduates in early June.
Online voting will continue until 1 p.m. on June 30.
IU alumni elect three of the nine members of the IU Board of Trustees. Trustees selected by alumni serve a three-year term.
For the purposes of the election, persons who have been awarded a degree, including an associate's degree, by the trustees of the university as recommended by the faculty are eligible to vote.
