IU Diversity Committees to meet in February

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University Diversity Committees are scheduled to meet on five IU campuses in February.
On Monday, (Feb. 2) the Indiana University Bloomington Diversity Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m. in the Charter Room of the Indiana Memorial Union on the Bloomington campus. The committee will continue to meet on the first Monday of each month throughout the spring semester.
On Thursday, (Feb. 5) the IU Kokomo Diversity Committee will meet at 9 a.m. in the Bogle Room of the Main Building on the Kokomo campus.
On Feb. 10, the IU South Bend Diversity Committee will meet at noon in Room 3300E of Wiekamp Hall on the South Bend campus.
On Feb. 18, the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Diversity Management Group will meet at 3 p.m. in Room 133 of the Administrative Office (AO) Building on the Indianapolis campus.
On Feb. 20, the IU Northwest Diversity Committee will meet at 1:30 p.m. in the Library Conference Room on the Gary campus.
The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
