The Indiana University School of Continuing Studies Distinguished Alumni Award is given to an alumnus of the school who has distinguished him/herself through outstanding service to the public and/or Indiana University.
This year's recipient is Susan Schricker, a graduate of IU South Bend who earned her Bachelor of General Studies in 2006. She is now a sales account manager for Meridian Title Corp.
Schricker spoke on behalf of the Bachelor of General Studies Degree program at the Indiana Statehouse in 2007, and again in 2010 at the Cream and Crimson Weekend. She is a strong advocate of the program and an enthusiastic and willing ambassador for the difference the degree can make in someone's life. She has also assisted in connecting her employer with the School of Continuing Studies, and the continuing studies programs on the South Bend and Fort Wayne campuses, to create a special section of an online management development program.
