IU Diversity Committees to meet in May

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University Diversity Committees are scheduled to meet on four IU campuses in May.

On Tuesday (May 5), the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Diversity Cabinet will meet at 8:30 a.m. in Conference Room 103 of the Administration Building on the Indianapolis campus. The IUPUI Diversity Cabinet Subcommittee will meet on May 12 at 9 a.m. in Room 102 of the Administration Building, and the IUPUI Diversity Management Committee will meet on May 20 at 3 p.m. in Room 1126 of the IUPUI University Library.

On Thursday, (May 7), the IU Kokomo Diversity Committee will meet at 9 a.m. in the Bogle Room of the Main Building on the Kokomo campus.

On May 14, the IU Southeast Diversity Committee will meet at 9 a.m. in Room 154 of University Center South on the New Albany campus.

On May 15, the IU Northwest Diversity Committee will meet at 1:30 p.m. in the Library Conference Room on the Gary campus.

The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
