Media Advisory: Nobel Prize-winner Elinor Ostrom to be available for interviews

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University Bloomington Professor Elinor Ostrom, who has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Science, will be available for interviews at a media availability to be held at 11:30 a.m. today (Oct. 12) at the Radio-TV Building, 1229 E. 7th St. in Bloomington, Ind.

Ostrom, who will be joined at the media availability by IU President Michael A. McRobbie, is expected to deliver a brief statement, then take questions from media.

The media availability will also be broadcast on the IU Video-Link. It will be also streamed live at https://www.broadcast.iu.edu.

Ostrom is the Arthur F. Bentley Professor of Political Science and professor of public and environmental affairs. She also co-founded the Workshop on Political Theory and Policy Analysis at IU Bloomington and is part-time co-director of the Center for the Study of Institutions, Population and Environmental Change (CIPEC).

Ostrom, the first woman to win the Nobel Prize in economics, was honored for her analysis of the economic governance, especially the commons.
