Three IU Diversity Committees to meet

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Three Indiana University Diversity Committees are scheduled to meet in October.

The IU Bloomington Diversity Committee will meet Tuesday (Oct. 13) from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Hoosier Room of the Indiana Memorial Union on the Bloomington campus.

At IU Northwest, the Diversity Annual Report Committee (DARC) will meet Thursday (Oct. 15) at 9:30 a.m. CDT in the Library Conference Center on the Gary campus.

At IU Kokomo, the Campus Diversity Committee will meet Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. in the Bogle Room on the Kokomo campus.

The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
