IU East Diversity Committee to meet

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nov. 16, 2009

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Commission on Diversity and Equity at Indiana University East will be meeting Tuesday, Nov. 17.

The meeting will take place from noon to 1:00 pm in the Community Room in Whitewater Hall on the IU East campus.

The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
