BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Angles Café and Gift Shop at the Indiana University Art Museum is introducing a new Meet the Designer series, offering visitors the chance to chat with the designers of some of the products for sale in the Art Museum shop.

The first participating artist is Katherine Kornblau from New York City, who established KJK Jewelry in 1985. Since then, Kornblau has evolved from selling handmade jewelry from a "little red wagon by the beach" into one of the most versatile, respected jewelry designers in the industry today.

Expanding on a lifelong love of global art and culture, Katherine spent time in Peru and Mexico and studied at the École du Louvre in Paris, while completing her art history degree at Oberlin College. Her international education and interests are reflected in her designs, which are popular with museums and art galleries around the world.

For more than 20 years, KJK Jewelry has provided designs for more than 300 museum stores, catalogs and boutiques worldwide. Kornblau creates custom collections for prestigious institutions such as the White House Historical Associations; the Smithsonian Institution; the Kennedy Center; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and the Art Institute of Chicago. Her newest collection will be on display and available for purchase Thursday, Dec. 10, from 3-6 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 11, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., during the KJK trunk show at Angles, in the Thomas T. Solley Atrium (second floor). More information about KJK Jewelry is available at www.kjkjewelry.com.

Also available at Angles is a vast collection of scarves, ties, unique jewelry and home décor, as well as the newest tea collections and design accessories from Tea Forte.
