BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The School of Fine Arts (SoFA) Gallery at Indiana University will present "INHABIT," a multidisciplinary exhibition by six regional artists and "Polar Drifts: Projects from Northern Crossings," work inspired by the Canadian North, from Feb. 16 to March 12. Both events are free and open to the public.

The exhibition features two site-specific installations, one by Kathyrn Armstrong, the other by Elizabeth Gerdeman, sculpture from Stephen Cartwright, video and photography by Jessica Westbrook, paintings by Jieun Shin, and work by Lauren Zoll.

In these works, the artists seek to reveal the physical, psychological and cultural aspects of location and environment through creative demonstration.

"Polar Drifts" consists of work from artist Leslie Sharpe's "Northern Crossing" project. Sharpe highlights the changing culture and environment of the Canadian Arctic and subarctic using a range of media, including multimedia installation, photography, drawing and personal artifacts.
