WFIU radio and WTIU TV news departments honored with 38 SPJ awards

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University's public radio and TV stations were honored with 38 awards from The Indiana Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, including 10 first-place awards.

For the second straight year, WFIU led all Indiana radio stations with 26 total awards and seven first-place finishes. WTIU had 12 total awards with three first-place entries.

Winners were honored at the 31st Annual Awards Banquet at the Indianapolis Marriott North Hotel on April 23.
