IU Diversity Committees to meet in September

Sept. 17, 2010

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Two more Indiana University Diversity Committees are scheduled to meet in September.

The IU Bloomington Diversity Committee will hold its first meeting of the semester Monday (Sept. 20) at 3:30 p.m. in the Charter Room of the Indiana Memorial Union on the Bloomington campus.

The Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Diversity Committee will meet Sept. 24 in Room 1116 of the University Library at 8:30 a.m.

The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
