IU SPEA's Arts Administration Program celebrates 30 years

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) will mark the 30th anniversary of its Arts Administration Program with a symposium featuring local and national arts experts. Graduates of the program are invited to attend.

The first official gathering of alumni of the Arts Administration Program will be Aug. 13-14 at the Indiana Memorial Union. Keynote speaker Doug Kinzey, president of Audience Strategies for the Arts Inc., will address "New Challenges in Marketing the Arts."

Other speakers and commentators will include Geoffrey Conrad, director of the Mathers Museum; Doug Booher, director of the IU Auditorium; Heidi Gealt, director of the IU Art Museum; John Pickett, executive director of the Indianapolis Opera; Lisa Key of the Arts Institute of Chicago and Cathy Taylor of the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago.
