IU Kokomo Diversity Committee meeting canceled, other committee meetings still scheduled

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The IU Kokomo Diversity Committee meeting for Friday, Oct. 29 has been canceled. However, Indiana University Diversity Committees are still scheduled to meet in November and December.

At IU Kokomo, the campus Diversity Committee will meet on Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. in KO170 in the Main Building on the IU Kokomo campus.

The IU Bloomington Diversity Committee will meet Nov. 8 at 3:30 p.m. in the Charter Room of the Indiana Memorial Union on the Bloomington campus.

The IUPUI Diversity Committee will meet on Nov. 16 at 8:30 a.m. in University Library Room 1126 on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

The IU South Bend Diversity Committee will meet on Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. in the Administration Building Boardroom on the South Bend campus.

The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
