Kinsey Institute benefit to include stars, movie screening
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A gala benefit for the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction will be held Nov. 13 in the Indiana University Auditorium on the Bloomington campus. The executive producer, the director and the leading man in the movie Kinsey will be in attendance, along with researchers and supporters of the Kinsey Institute.
The benefit will feature a preview of Kinsey, the Fox Searchlight film opening in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on Nov. 12 and then more broadly, including in the Midwest on Nov. 19.
Ticket information:
- Tickets for the benefit, with a reception beginning at 6:30 p.m. and preferred seating for the 7:30 p.m. screening, can be purchased for $50 per person. Benefit tickets are available now. Please call Heidi Frankson at 812-855-1557 for ticket information.
- Tickets for the film screening alone can be purchased for $20 per person at the IU Auditorium box office, 1211 E. Seventh St., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or on-line and by telephone at TicketMaster. These general seating tickets will go on sale on Oct. 29.
Special guests will include Liam Neeson, who stars as pioneering sex researcher Alfred Kinsey; executive producer Gail Mutrux; and writer/director Bill Condon. A 30-minute question-and-answer period with Condon and Julia Heiman, director of the Kinsey Institute, will follow the movie screening.
Donors contributing $1,000 to the Kinsey Institute on the occasion of this benefit will be honored at an exclusive cocktail hour with the special guests.
