BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University Auditorium has added an additional performance of "Ghost Brothers of Darkland County," the southern gothic musical collaboration between John Mellencamp, Stephen King and T Bone Burnett, on Oct. 23.

The additional performance was added in response to overwhelming customer demand. "Ghost Brothers of Darkland County" will tour 20 American cities throughout the Midwest and Southeast, beginning Oct. 10 at IU Auditorium and ending Nov. 6 in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Thirteen years in the making, the collaboration is a haunting tale of fraternal love, lust, jealousy and revenge. It will be performed by an ensemble cast of 15 actors and a four-piece live band. The album of the musical was released June 4 via Hear Music and the Concord Music Group.

"We could not be more pleased at the community response to this production and wanted to ensure everyone would have the chance to experience it firsthand," IU Auditorium director Doug Booher said. "We are lucky 'Ghost Brothers' was able to accommodate another date for us and are encouraging patrons to order their tickets soon -- they will be going fast!"
