BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The third annual Indiana University Life Sciences Career Fair for IU students will be held Thursday (Sept. 20) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the IU Auditorium.

More than 30 companies, including many with Indiana ties, will be available to discuss their employee needs and opportunities.

The fair is a collaboration between IU's College of Arts and Sciences, Kelley School of Business and its Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the School of Informatics.

Businesses in the healthcare industry -- whether device, pharmaceutical, IT, consulting or other industry supporting companies -- are increasingly looking for students who have strong technical skills, decision-making abilities and an understanding of business.

In response to this need, the College of Arts and Sciences, Kelley School of Business and School of Informatics have established a network of faculty and staff to prepare and assist students with skills that are valuable in the life sciences marketplace. IU students seeking internships or employment are invited to visit the fair.

The IU Life Sciences Career Fair is sponsored in part by the IU Research and Technology Corp.; Bloomington Hospital and Hill-Rom Industries as gold sponsors; Baxter Pharmaceutical Solutions, a silver sponsor; and Purdue Research Foundation, Beckman Coulter, Inc. and Technisource as bronze sponsors.
