Nike executive, Kelley alumnus Louis Jordan returns as Distinguished Entrepreneur-in-Residence

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Louis Jordan, the chief financial officer for global retail and digital commerce at Nike Inc, will be a guest of the Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Indiana University's Kelley School of Business on Friday (Nov. 2) as the center's Distinguished Entrepreneur-in-Residence.

At the public presentation beginning at 11 a.m., Jordan will speak on the topics of Nike's global challenges as well as his entrepreneurial experiences at starting a vineyard. He will speak in room 0036 of the Godfrey Graduate and Education Center, 1275 E. 10th St.

Jordan received a Master of Business Administration in finance from the Kelley School. At IU, he was a Consortium for Graduate Management Fellow, president of the Finance Guild and recipient of the Outstanding MBA award.

Since receiving his MBA in 1980, Jordan has worked for a succession of Fortune 500 companies, including DuPont, Dun & Bradstreet, Citibank, Duracell and the Gap.

Jordan joined Nike in 2003 as chief financial officer for USA Retail. In 2004, he was promoted to head global business planning at the company and assumed his current position in March. His current management scope extends to all Nike-owned retail stores and digital commerce activities globally.

In 2006, Jordan began production of estate grown wine. The Jordan vineyard, Caldonia, is located in Alexander Valley in California's Sonoma County.
