A total of 93,664 students have enrolled for spring semester classes on eight Indiana University campuses. This represents a record enrollment for spring semester, an increase of 3.3 percent or 2,994 students over the record levels of the 2002 spring semester. Credit hours also established a spring semester record of 1,036,142.5, an increase of 3.6 percent over spring semester 2002.

Among the individual IU campuses, Bloomington, IUPUI, Fort Wayne and Southeast all established spring semester records for both student head count and credit hours, according to official university enrollment figures released today (Feb. 4). IU South Bend set a spring semester record for credit hours.

"The continued growth of enrollments on our campuses is excellent news for both our university and our state. The students we are educating today will play vital roles in building Indiana's economic future," said Indiana University Interim President Gerald Bepko.
