IU faculty roundtable to focus on the crisis in Tibet

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Four Indiana University scholars will participate Saturday in a roundtable discussion, "The Crisis in Tibet."

The program will begin at 1:30 p.m. in room 003 of Ballantine Hall on the IU Bloomington campus. The public is invited.

Over the last week, events in Tibet have focused international attention on the simmering discontent among the Tibetan population in the Tibet Autonomous Region and other part of the People's Republic of China. The IU experts will lead a wide-ranging discussion of the events, their causes and their implications for China, Tibet and the international community.
