IU Northwest Diversity Committee to meet

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 12, 2008

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana University Northwest Diversity Committee will hold its next meeting on Tuesday (May 13) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Library Conference Center 140A on the Gary Cabinet. It will hold a follow-up meeting, if necessary on Thursday (May 15) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the same room.

The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
