Kelley’s Women MBA Alumni Advisory Board to host event on financing and growing businesses

INDIANAPOLIS -- In a credit market so tight that banks are reluctant to loan money even to other banks, how can business owners find the funding they need to create or expand their business? This Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, members of Kelley's Women's MBA Alumni Advisory Board will offer tips and tools for business financing at a panel discussion entitled "Get on Top of the Bottom Line."
The panel is part of the Main Street Institute, a partnership between the Kelley School of Business and the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. The partnership offers year-round seminars and other events designed to provide the latest in business education. Topics include sales and marketing, customer relations and growth management.
Presenters will include Victoria Hall, regional director of the Central Indiana Small Business Development Center; Gayle Ross, president of CA Ross Company; Connie Shepherd, senior vice president of Business Banking at M&I Bank; and Liz Hoover, treasurer and executive board member of the National Association of Women Business Owners as well as owner of Hoosier Financial Advisors. Deb New, president of New Enterprises, Inc. will moderate.
Friday's event will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the Kelley School of Business's Indianapolis campus. It will take place inside the IUPUI Campus Center (Room 450 A and B), located at 420 University Boulevard in Indianapolis. Admission, which includes breakfast, is $30 for the general public and $10 for IUPUI students.
