BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- For the third year in a row, WFIU received a Spectrum Award by the Indiana Broadcasters Association (IBA) for Community Involvement. WFIU Marketing Director Scott Witzke received the award at a ceremony at Sheraton Keystone at the Crossing in Indianapolis on Saturday, Nov. 8.
"We are extremely proud of this award because community service is one of our core values and is the heart of our mission to enrich the lives of those in the WFIU listening area," said WFIU Station Manager Christina Kuzmych writes.
Each year the IBA recognizes superior performance and broadcast excellence with the Spectrum Award. Established as a venue for honoring professionals on the 'front line' of the broadcast industry, the Spectrum Award has become a highly coveted distinction among Hoosier broadcasters and is widely regarded as the state's highest honor for broadcasters.
