BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana University logo has been added to the Victoria's Secret (VS) PINK Collegiate Collection as part of the "Class of 2009."

The new collection is available in 13 Victoria's Secret stores across the state as well as online. The IU PINK Collegiate Collection includes boyfriend pants, pullover hoodies and tees, ranging from $26.50 to $54.50. At this time, only two universities in the state -- IU and Purdue University -- are included in the PINK Collegiate Collection.

Indiana University is among the more than 50 colleges and universities that are part of Victoria's Secret (VS) PINK Collegiate Collection.

"We are very pleased to have Indiana licensed merchandise included in the Victoria's Secret PINK Collegiate Collection," said Valerie Gill, director of IU's Licensing and Trademarks. "IU fans will start seeing our products in many popular and recognizable locations across the state. The clothing line is very hip and fashionable. But the best part about this program is that the royalty revenue generated from the sale of PINK's IU products will directly support the university's academic scholarship programs and IU Athletics."

Last fall, VS PINK launched "Nominate Your School," an online program that encouraged customers to vote for their schools to be added to the PINK Collegiate Collection. Over the past six months, PINK received more than 10 million votes for hundreds of different schools. Taking these votes into consideration, as well as various other factors, including regional appeal, alumni and student population, VS PINK revealed IU as one of its additions to the Collegiate Collection.

VS PINK launched its co-branded Collegiate Collection in July 2008, which features VS PINK's recognizable brand iconography and the names and logos of the top universities on fashion apparel. As of June 22, more than 50 universities across the country will be included in the collection. Launched in 2004, VS PINK is a fully articulated lifestyle collection for young women.

In addition to launching the new line, VS PINK will bring the new IU product as well as its core PINK collection and special offers to IU during a campus tour that includes a stop at IU Bloomington on Oct. 8 (subject to change).

An online voting competition will determine if IU Bloomington receives another visit from VS PINK this fall. Five universities across the country (including IU) are competing for the PINK Nation Event. In previous years, events featured appearances by popular entertainers. This year's event will take place on a college campus selected by VS PINK Nation members. To vote, register at the PINK Nation Web site, The contest concludes at the end of the day on Aug. 4. The winning campus and event performers will be announced this fall.

PINK Nation is a free loyalty program to thank VS PINK's best customers by providing rewards, special content online, privileges and the opportunity to vote for the PINK Nation Event cities competition. More information can be found online at
