Former U.S. Rep. Lee Hamilton is expected to be on hand today and Friday to mark the 10th anniversary of Indiana University's Center on Congress, which he helped found.
The nonpartisan center aims to improve public understanding of Congress by educating people about the role of the legislative branch in government.
Two days of celebrations will honor the center's contributions. Many IU faculty and staff are scheduled to attend events, some of which are open to the public.
Hamilton, who is now the center's director, will also be hosting roundtable discussions and visiting classrooms to meet with IU students, according to a statement.
