IU Alumni Association to host pre-game event for Hoosier basketball fans
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A couple of hours before Indiana University's men's basketball team begins play in the National Invitation Tournament, the IU Alumni Association will host a Big Red Warm-Up for IU alumni and fans.
The Big Red Warm-Up will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday (March 16) at the Virgil T. DeVault Alumni Center, 1000 E. 17th St., two hours before tip-off of the Hoosiers' first-round NIT game. The DeVault Alumni Center is located across 17th Street from Assembly Hall, where the Hoosiers will play Vanderbilt University. The event is free, and all IU fans are invited to join the IU Pep Band and cheerleaders to get in the mood for the game.
Attendees can meet and chat with other alumni and fans, purchase IU memorabilia and merchandise, enjoy snacks, buy beverages and join the IUAA or renew their membership at half price.
The Big Red Warm-Up is sponsored by the IU Alumni Association, the IU Varsity Club and the Monroe County chapter of the IU Alumni Association. Big Red Warm-Ups will be held two hours before every IU game during the NIT.
