IU East strengthens future

Indiana University East officials are lifting a freeze on hiring and projecting the campus will erase a financial deficit labeled "serious" last December that sparked a visit from the university system's outgoing president. A combination of factors, including a rise in enrollment at the Richmond campus, is offsetting the $600,000 shortfall, Indiana University's budget director said.
