EDITORS: A federation of Indiana's universities will make an announcement on Monday (Aug. 25) in Indianapolis concerning a new, innovative public/private partnership that will encourage additional entrepreneurship statewide.

The federation, in partnership with the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership and a generous alumnus of Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, will announce the formation of the Indiana Venture Center and name the first person who will lead the center.

A media availability will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Room 137 of the University Conference Center on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, 900 West Michigan St.

Schools involved in the federation are Ball State University, Indiana University, the University of Notre Dame, Purdue University and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. In addition to participants in the media availability, each institution will have representatives available to discuss this initiative afterward.

In addition to the media contacts listed, for logistical questions you also are welcome to contact Mary Chappell, director of external affairs at the IU Kelley School-Indianapolis at 317-274-3980 or
